The new building and entrance provides visitors and park staff a safe area to register.
In the heart of the Wallowa Mountains, Wallowa Lake State Park has been a popular camping destination for years. The park needed a new registration building to keep the entrance area and booth running efficiently and safely.
Local contractor L.D. Perry Inc. of Enterprise was awarded a contract in September 2008 to build a new 366-square-foot registration building and realign and pave the entrance area and road.
The booth opened for Memorial Day Weekend. The entire project will be complete by June 30 2009.
